Heat pump in a modular house – which to choose and how much will you save?

Treevia houses come with underfloor heating distribution and recuperation. The heat source is chosen by the client. But "heat pump" is a broad term – there are several types on the market, differing in price, efficiency and installation requirements.

Air-to-water heat pump (most popular)

  • COP: 3.5–5.0
  • Cost: PLN 25,000–45,000
  • Works with underfloor heating
  • Best choice for most modular houses

Ground-source heat pump

  • COP: 4.0–5.5 (most stable)
  • Cost: PLN 40,000–80,000 (including drilling/collectors)
  • Requires ground works
  • Best efficiency, but highest investment

Air-to-air heat pump

  • COP: 3.0–4.5
  • Cost: PLN 8,000–15,000
  • Heats air directly, without water installation
  • Good supplement, but not as sole heat source in Polish climate
