Wooden holiday house – is it worth it in 2026?

A wooden holiday house is a dream for many – your own corner by a lake, in the mountains or in Masuria. But beyond the dream, is there a hard economic calculation? In this article, we analyse how much a holiday house really costs, how much you can earn from it, and why prefabrication changes the rules.

How much does a holiday house cost?

Market price range is enormous – from PLN 50,000 for a basic shed to over a million for an exclusive leisure residence. At Treevia, we recommend two models:

  • TREEVIA MINI 35 (30.78 m²) – from PLN 182,379 net. Compact, with mezzanine and large glazing
  • TREEVIA NORD 70 (69.6 m²) – from PLN 396,978 net. Two bedrooms, living room with kitchen. Family comfort. Notification-based

Plus foundation (PLN 15,000–40,000), connections (PLN 10,000–30,000) and site development.

How much can you earn from rental?

Estimated short-term rental income (Airbnb/Booking) in attractive locations:

MINI 35:

  • Price per night: PLN 350–550 (peak season up to PLN 700)
  • Annual occupancy: 40–60%
  • Annual revenue: PLN 50,000–100,000 gross
  • Net profit: PLN 25,000–75,000/year

NORD 70:

  • Price per night: PLN 500–900
  • Net profit: PLN 35,000–100,000/year

Summary

A wooden holiday house in 2026 is not an expense – it's an investment. With costs from PLN 182,379 net and rental income reaching PLN 100,000 annually, return on investment is realistic in 3–5 years.
